35 percent polling in Pandhana bypoll
Bhopal, Dec 4 (UNI) About 35 percent of the 1.56 lakh electorate have exercised their franchise till 1400 hours today in the Assembly byelection in Pandhana constituency in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.
Amid tight security with para military forces assisting the district police, peacefull polling was progressing, official sources said.
The byelection was caused due to the murder of sitting BJP MLA Kishorilal Verma. His son Devendra Verma(BJP), Hiralal Silawat(Congress), Vasudeo Atoot (Bhartiya Jan Shakti), Navneet Gajbhiye (Gondwana Gantantra Party) and Umashankar Varma (Ind) were in the fray.
