30 percent polling in Dungarpur seat by 1300 hrs

Jaipur, Dec 4(UNI) Thirty per cent of the 58,620 voters exercised their franchise till 1300 hrs in the Dungarpur Assembly(ST) seat in Rajasthan where by-election is being held today.

Polling is going on peacefully in the constituency in the predominantly tribal belt of the state.

The by election followed the demise of six- time Congress MLA Nathuram Ahari.

The fight is mainly between the Congress nominee Punjilal Parmar and BJP candidate Surmal Parmar though an independent candidate is also in the fray.
