Three placement agency men arrested for cheating senior citizen

New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) Police have arrested three people, including a teenaged girl, operating a placement agency in Kalkaji in South Delhi for allegedly duping people on the pretext of supplying maid servants.

Tuntun Singh (28), owner of 'M S Preeti Group' - a placement agency, Sameer Khan alias Lalit Kumar (24) and Reena (19) were arrested from Kotla Mubarakpur following a complaint by a retired bank manager R K Singhal who had hired a maid from them, police said today.

Accused Reena, after working for five days and taking the monthly salary in advance, went away saying she was pregnant and hence unable to work.

Mr Singhal on reaching the office of the agency found no one and lodged a compalint with the police about him being duped.

Investigations into the case began after similar complaints were received from Defence Colony, Noida and Shimla about the same placement agency.

Search was on to arrest-two others employed with the agency, police added.

While Reena, a resident of Ranchi (Jharkhand) was staying with Sameer Khan at Kotla Mubarkpur in a rented premise, Tuntun, who was living in Harkesh Nagar, had employed a few educated employees who managed all the affairs of the Agency.
