TADA Court to complete judgement tomorrow
Mumbai, Dec 3: The designated TADA Court here will pronounce the judgement of the last six accused in the 1993 serial blasts tomorrow.
Designated TADA Judge Pramod Kode will deliver the judgement of the last six accused who allegedly threw hand grenades at Mahim Fishermen colony, killing three and injuring several others.
The six accused are Basheer Usman Gani (accused no 13), Zakir Hussain (accused no 32), Abdul Akhtar (accused no 36), Pheroz Aamin Malik (accused no 39), Salim Rahim Shaikh (accused no 52) and Moin Shaikh (accused no 43), who was a juvenile when arrested 13 years ago.
Of a total of 123 accused, including the Memon family and cinestar Sanjay Dutt, facing the trial, 94 have been pronounced guilty and 23 have been acquitted from the case.
Altogether 257 people died and about 700 were injured while property worth several crores was destroyed in the serial bomb blasts on March 12, 1993.
