SR announces special trains between Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 3 (UNI) To clear extra rush of passengers, the Southern Railway (SR) will run two special trains between Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram.

According to SR releases here today, Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram special train will departure from Chennai Central at 1800 hrs on Tuesdays and will arrive to Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesdays at 0700 hrs.

Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central special train will departure Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesdays at 1030 hrs and will arrive at Chennai Central on Thursdays at 0400 hrs, the release said.

Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram special will leave Chennai Central at 1600 hrs on Thursdays and will arrive Thiruvananthapuram on Fridays at 0700 hrs. Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 1030 hrs on Fridays and will arrive Chennai Central at 0400 hrs on Saturdays.

The Thiruvananthapuram division has opened special computerised passenger reservation centre at Pampa for the pilgrims visiting Sabarimala for the Mandala Pooja and Makaravilakku season.
