Silver recovered, one held
Tirupati, Dec 3 (UNI) The Crime Branch Police today made a breakthrough in the missing of gold dollars from the Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple yesterday, with the recovery of six lakh worth silver and the arrest of a person.
Addressing a news conference here Additional Superintendent of Police B Sashu said the Crime Branch special vigilance team which also was investigating the recent theft at Lavanya Jewellery here, arrested one Balaji (45) on the basis of the information given by the staff there.
The accused was supplying silver articles to jewelleries in the city. Thirty kgs of silver was recovered from him.
