Shiv Sainiks clash with SAD (Mann) activists

Amritsar, Dec 3: At least four Shiv Sena activists were injured in a clash with Shiromani Akali Dal (Mann) suporters at Tarn Taran today.

According to police, the clash took place near Char Khamba Chowk when the sainiks tried to burn in effigy Simranjeet Singh Mann, president of SAD (Mann).

The Sainiks were enraged over an article written by Mr Mann on Shiv Sena in 'Fatehnama', a Punjabi magazine published by Mann.

The injured among others include Tarn Taran Shiv Sena chief Ashwin Kumar Kuku and another leader Retinder Kumar.

As a preventive measure, police have rounded up five members of SAD (Mann) including Vikram Singh, Balwant Singh, Jagdev Singh, Balwinder Singh and Jagdeep Singh.
