Red alert in Purulia after series of mine blasts
Purulia, Dec 3 (UNI) A red alert has been sounded across this Maoist domianted district West Bengal bordering Jharkhand after last night's series of mine balsts here and 13 securitymen killed in Bokaro.
As many as mines were blasted by suspected Maoist rebels at Duarsini near Kutchia police camp of Bandwan, 90 km from this town.
District superintendent of police Ashok Kumar prosad said today while an alert was sounded the security agencies were asked to be ready for any eventuality in the face of Moaist's threats.
Reinforcement with Central paramilitary forces were deployed all vulnerable areas after 13 securitymen were killed by rebels in Bokaro, Jharkhand.
Few days ago Maoists also snatched four rifles and crtically injured five policemen in the district.
