Qatar hands India 48-19 defeat in handball

Doha, Dec 3 (UNI) Indian handball team tamely surrendered to Qatar and went down 19-48 in their preliminary league Group A match in the Asian games here today.

The Indians could not find their feet in the match and was completely outplayed by the hosts in all departments of the game.

Cheered by the vociferous partisan crowd, Qatar maintained its grip over their rivals through out the match and led 19-9 in the first half and dominated the second as well where the scoreline read 29-10 in their favour.
