Politics not my cup of tea: Bachchan

London, Dec 3 (UNI) Mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan today said he is not cut out for politics as he cannot handle negative publicity.

Mr Bachchan, who was here to promote his yet to be released venture 'Baabul', said, ''I entered Parliament and realised that politics was something I was totally inadequate for and knew nothing about.'' Convinced that politics is not his cup of tea, Mr Bachchan, whom 'The Sunday Times' has labelled Tom Cruise, Sean Connery and Clint Eastwood all rolled into one, said he is not equipped to handle negative publicity.

''Politicians are very strong people and they know how to deal with it. I do not,'' the legend of Indian cinema said and reiterated that he would not return to politics.

Mr Bachchan said he sees Indian films as a 'national integrator'.

'' The common man walks into a world of fantasy, after a hard day's work, coming out happy three hours later. We give them tradition, happiness, romance ergo, its for the common man,'' the superstar claimed.
