PM pays tributes to Dr Rajendra Prasad

New Delhi, Dec 3: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh paid floral tributes to freedom fighter Dr Rajendra Prasad on the occassion of his 119th birth anniversary in the Central Hall of the Parliament House today.

In his tribute to the eloquent Parliamentarian and able administrator, Mr Singh garlanded Dr Prasad's portrait which had been unveiled in the Central Hall on May 5, 1964 by then President Dr Radhakrishnan.

Among other dignataries who paid the floral tributes to Dr Prasad were, Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Defence B K Handique, and Mr P D T Achary and Dr Yogendra Narian, Lok Sabha Secretaries General.
