Mirwaiz seeks China's help in resolving Kashmir
Srinagar, Dec 3: Moderate Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has sought the help of Asian giant China in resolving the long-festering Kashmir issue.
''China shares good relations with India and is a long time friend of Pakistan. It is a key power in the region. Things are moving...China too has moved,'' the Mirwaiz said here.
The Hurriyat Chairman urged Beijing to play an important role in the resolution of the Kashmir issue and asserted that the US, the UK and China share excellent rapport with India and Pakistan and these world powers help the two countries in resolving the vexed tangle.
He also said the Hurriyat Conference was intending to send a delegation to China on ''familiarization'' visit.
The Mirwaiz said he would soon visit Pakistan, Ireland and Oslo to ''understand various dynamics of conflict resolution.''
