New Delhi, Dec 3: After winning awards for its 'path-breaking' reality shows 'Indian Idol' and 'fame Gurukul' in previous years, Miditech, the leading content provider on Indian television, have made their presence felt at this year's Indian television awards too.

Miditech picked up three awards at the Indian Telly Awards held in Mumbai last week - Best kids show in Kids Programming category for 'Music, Art&Dance(MAD)' on Pogo award for the Best Reality Show for 'Fame Gurukul' on Sony and award for the Best Game Show for 'Deal Ya No Deal' on SET, sources in the company said.

Infact, Miditech had bagged ten nominations at this year's telly awards.

What was interesting was that in both the Kid programming and the Best reality show categories, the shows produced by Miditech competed among themselves, the sources said.

So while 'MAD' frolicked past Midtitech-produced 'Galli Galli Sim Sim' on Cartoon Network, 'Fame Gurukul' edged ahead of 'Indian Idol' and 'Call Center' on BBC World.

Commenting on the awards for the company, president Miditech Niret Alva, said,''we are overwhelmed by the recognition bestowed upon us by the Television fraternity.

I dedicate it to Team Miditech and their ability to always come up with a winning combination through collective intelligence, a passion for excellence and unstinting commitment to the show. I can only hope that we will be able to better this record in the years to come.'' Says Ila Arun, who has been closely associated with 'Fame Gurukul',''it was a great experience for me to work with Miditech on the sets of Fame Gurukul. They were extremely organized, classy and professional in their approach. Though the show was based on an international format, Miditech presented it in a manner that came across as an original piece of work.'' Over the years, Miditech, Asia's leading independent production company that has created a wide range of programming in the last few years, have bagged many awards at the Indian Telly awards.

In 2004, its 'Indian Idol', an interactive reality-based musical show produced for Sony Television, won the award for 'Best Music and Film Based Show' while another of its programmes 'The Skeleton Lake', produced for National Geographic Channels International (NGCI), bagged the 'Best TV Documentary Award'.

Last year, its 'Fame Gurukul', a talent hunt show for the best singer aired on Sony Television, won the 'Best Reality Programme Award'.

Last year alone, Miditech produced over 400 hours of programming for clients like MTV, NGCI, BBC, the Star Network, SET, Doordarshan, The Disney Channel, Turner etc.
