Khoda hits ton, match interestingly poised

Jaipur, Dec 3 (UNI) Former international Gagan Khoda hit a brilliant hundred (107) and put on 104 runs for the third wicket with Nikhil Doru (40) to help Rajasthan reach 347 for eight against Hyderabad on the penultimate day of their four-day Ranji Trophy Elite group B match at the SMS Stadium here today.

Kabir Ali of England and Mohd Aslam were batting with 46 and 23 respectively at the draw of stumps with the home team still 38 runs short with two wickets intact to register a vital first innings lead. Hyderabad had made 385 in the first innings.

Resuming at their overnight total of 92 for one, Rajasthan batsmen batted with determination and Khoda was short of six runs the three figure mark at lunch, when the total read 184 for five.

The morning session saw Vikram Solanki-discard from England-bowled for no score by P K Reddy Khoda was earlier bowled by the same bowler.

The post lunch session saw Pankaj Singh score a magnificent 74, which included nine fours and three sixes. After failing with the ball, Kabir Ali batted stubbornly and remained unbeaten with Aslam.
