Tokyo, Dec 3 (UNI) It was a double delight for Jeev Milkha Singh, who became the first Indian to qualify for the US Masters after claiming his fourth title of the season at the Nippon Series JT Cup here today.

After his second successive triumph in Japan Tour, Jeev is certain to enter the top-50 of the Official World Golf Ranking which entitles him an invite to the US Masters next April. He was previously ranked 55th in the world but will reach his goal after the success this week.

Jeev set the pace since the second round and today he delivered a steady even-par 70 for an 11-under 269 total which saw him finish a stroke ahead of runner-up Nobuhiro Masuda.

Jeev, however, had a shaky start in the final round with a bogey on the fifth hole but was quick to reply with a birdie in the following sixth hole. Despite a late charge by Masuda, Jeev remained calm as he birdied the 10th hole.

He dropped another shot on the 12th but parred the remaining six holes for the win.

Riding the form of his life, Jeev has been unstoppable this year as he lifted the Volvo China Open title in April and the Volvo Masters in Spain in October. He was recently crowned the Asian Tour's UBS Order of Merit winner after a joint third place finish at the UBS Hong Kong Open last month and his first triumph on Japan Tour came at Casio World Open last week.

Apart from the four wins, Jeev's steady game is reflected through his 14 other top-10s From here, Jeev heads off to the Asian Tour's season-finale Volvo Masters of Asia in Bangkok from December 14-17.
