India Stonemart 2007 in Jaipur from Feb 1'07

Jaipur, Dec 3: The fourth international stone industry exhibition-India Stonemart 2007- would be held in Jaipur from February 1-4, 2007.

India Stonemart, the largest stone exhibition held in the country, is being jointly organsied by the Centre for Development of Stones (CDOS) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) sponsored by the government and the biggest names in the industry from India and abroad.

India is the largest producer and exporter of natural stones and stone prodcuts in the world. It is endowed with over 300 varieties of dimensional stones.

C D D S Vice Chairman N K Modi said the exhibition would provide a platform to the companies to showcase their products and access markets in other parts of the world.

He said this year companies from ten countires including China, Egypt, Russia, France, Italy, Germany, the UK, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan would participate in the exhibition.

China's participation is the largest with a seperate pavallion constituting 30 companies and 50 delegates.

Mr R K Gupta, CEO of CODS said Indian stone industry has been growing rapidly over the last few years. He said, ''With a targeted audience of over one lakh visitors from around the world, India Stonemart 2007 is an ideal business to business forum for making business deals and contacts''.
