GSPC wins oil-exploration projects in Egypt

Ahmedabad, Dec 3 (UNI) Through an international bidding the public sector unit, Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) has won an international oil-exploration projects in Egypt.

According to an official release here today through the international bidding GSPC has won the rights to explore two oils and natural gases blocks in Egypt.

The release said, of the two blocks, one block is off-shore drilling exploration, called H-HAPY No 6. It is spread over 4,180 square kilometer area and located in Eastern Mediterranean in Nile-Delta region.

While another block S-DIYUR No 8 is an on-shore drilling project with spread over 37,678 kilometers in Southern-Egypt.

These both blocks have vast potential for oils and natural gases, the release said.

Recently, the GSPC had also won an oil-exploration project in two blocks in Australia. The agreements for this Australian project was signed today, the release added.
