Four die in road mishap in Gujarat

Jamnagar, Gujarat, Dec 3 (UNI) At least four persons were killed on the spot while three others sustained injuries when their Tata Sumo dashed head-on against a speeding truck on Jamnagar-Dwarka highway near Batadia village, about 95 kms from here, in Kalyanpur taluka of the district this evening.

The mishap took place around 1630 hours when the drivers of both vehicles lost control over the steering-wheels, resulting in the death of four occupants of the Tata Sumo, police said.

Of the three injured, car driver Jayesh has been admitted to the civil hospital at Jamnagar, while other two are being treated at nearby Khambhalia town.

The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Khairnar, Dinesh Ghod, Ashok Varma and Suresh Kishorekumar Varma, police added.
