Finance corporation for handicapped would be formed in J'khand: Koda

Ranchi, Dec 3 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today said a separate 'Handicapped Finance Corporation' would be set up to provide monetary assistance to physically challenged people.

After inaugurating a function to mark 'World Handicap day', Mr Koda said the finance corporation would provide funds to the handicapped people for self employement. The government would also provide special vocational training to them for which special Industrial training institutes would be established.

On the issue of giving reservation facility to the handicapped in government jobs, Mr Koda said the government would try to implement the Act passed by the Central government for providing three per cent reservation.

State welfare Minister Joba Manjhi informed about the 'Swami Vivekanand Protsahan Yojna' for the handicapped people. Under the scheme Rs 200 would be given to a disabled person on a monthly basis.
