Driver burnt alive in accident

Baripada, Dec 3 (UNI) A driver was killed when a 10-wheeler truck capsized near the Budamara railway level crossing on Chennai-Kolkata NH-5, about 38 km from here, in the wee hours today.

The Vijaynagaram-bound truck which was carrying steel sheets from Jamshedpur got self-ignited immediately after it capsized. The driver trapped in the truck's cabin was charred to death, police said.

The helper, however, miraculously escaped by leaping out of the vehicle. A case has been registered at the Bangriposi police station in connection with the incident.
