Congress alleges attack by JD-(S) workers
Bangalore, Dec 3 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) workers allegedly attacked a car in which Congress leaders N Dharam Singh and H K Patil and (AICC) General Secretary Narayanaswamy were travelling near Mysore today.
Talking to newsmen immediately after returning here tonight, Mr Singh alleged that as per Election Observer's directive they moved out of Chamundeswari Assembly constituency, which is going to poll tomorrow, they were attacked by 70 to 80 JD(S) workers shouting slogans on the outskirts of that city. However, they were chased away by Police who arrived at the spot immediately.
Mr Singh alleged that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was caught red handed by the Election Observer Raymond Peter with materials intended for distribution to woo the voters inside the constituency.
Mr Narayanaswamy, who was also present, demanded Election Commission take action against Mr Kumaraswamy, Mr Gowda and Ministers for staying put in the constituency violating the EC directives.
''JD-S is breaking the model code and grossly misusing power'', he alleged.
Mr Patil alleged that JD-S workers, by attacking Congress workers, were trying to create tension during the election.
