Bangalore, Dec 3 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) workers allegedly attacked a car in which Congress leaders N Dharam Singh and H K Patil and (AICC) General Secretary Narayanaswamy were traveling near Mysore today.

Talking to newsmen immediately after returning here tonight, Mr Singh alleged that though as per Election Observer's direction they moved out of Chamundeswari Assembly constituency, which was going to poll tomorrow, they were attacked by 70 to 80 JD(S) workers shouting slogans on the outskirts of that city. However, they were chased away by Police who arrived at the spot immediately.

Mr Singh alleged that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was caught red handed by the Election Observer Raymond Peter with materials intended for distribution to woo the voters inside the constituency.

Mr Narayanaswamy, who was also present, demanded Election Commission to take action against Mr Kumaraswamy, Mr Gowda and Ministers for staying in the constituency against the EC directions.

"JD-S is breaking all the election code and grossly misusing the power", he alleged.

Mr Patil alleged that JD-S workers, by attacking Congress workers, were trying to create tense during the election.
