Cold wave in Jammu, rainfall at several places
Jammu, Dec 3: Intensive cold wave was felt in this region today as the day temperature dipped below 14 degrees Celsius, official sources said.
The 'city of temples' was covered with clouds and several parts were experiencing rains.
With the entire region shivering due to freezing north-eastern winds, electric heaters and bonfire were being used by people for warmth.
Besides severe cold in the lower areas, the upper Himalayan range of Pir Panjal in Doda, Udhampur and Poonch districts experienced snowfall.
Trikuta hills of world famous Shri Mata Vaishnodevi shrine, and the hill resort of Patni may witness first snowfall of the season this evening, officials sources told UNI.
