CM flags off new Super Deluxe bus services

Chennai, Dec 3 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today flagged off 242 Super Deluxe buses for the State Express Transport Corporation (SETC).

This followed an announcement made in the Assembly that the Government would buy 2230 new buses to replace old buses.

In the first phase, 242 deluxe buses were flagged off of which 100 buses would operate in Chennai. The remaining 142 buses would be given to various divisions of the SETC across the state.

Mr Karunanidhi also launched the Metropolitan Transport Corporation's new Yellow Line and Blue Line services in Chennai city.
