Bihar, Governor, CM pay tributes Dr Rajendra Prasad

Patna, Dec 3 (UNI) Bihar Governor R S Gavai and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today paid tributes to the first President of India Dr Rajendra Prasad on the occasion of his 122nd birth anniversary.

At a function organised here, the Governor and Chief Minister offered floral tributes to a statue of Dr Prasad. Mr Kumar also distributed clothes amomg poor women to mark the day.

Water resources minister Ramashray Prasad Singh and former Bihar Chief Minister Dr Jagannath Mishra, former deputy speaker of Bihar assembly Bhola Singh were among others, who paid tributes to the former President on the occasion.

Many Congress leaders including general secretary of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) Dr Madan Mohan Jha paid tributes to Dr Prasad at party office here.

Various programmes were organised across the state to mark the occasion, reports here said.
