Bengalooru Habba begins

Bangalore, Dec 3 (UNI) Bengalooru Habba, showcasing the best traditions of Karnataka began with a colourful start at various ventures in the city today.

The city's own grand cultural jambooree, the week-long festival is being celebrated in a grand way as it is happening on the 50th year of formation of Karnatakta.

Drama, Folk craft, classical music, yakshagana, magic, cinema and other cultural activities have been programmed to be held at various venues including Ravindra Kalakshetra, Cubbon Park, Ambedkar Bhavan, Karnataka Golf Association, Chitrakala Parishat and Cafe Coffee Day.

The programmes vary between traditional art and music in the first five days when top artists and performers like Kadri Gopalakrishnan, Rashid Khan and Gunecha brothers perform. During the last three days it would shift to excitement on a cosmopolitan mode where Shivamani and various pop groups enthrall the audience.
