11 sentenced to life in former sarpanch murder case

Khargone, MP, Dec 3 (UNI) A local court has slapped life sentences on 11 persons accused of killing a former tribal sarpanch because of old enmity and fined them Rs 500 each.

According to prosecution, sarpanch Bhagdibai's husband Room Singh along with his 10 friends killed former sarpanch Anar Singh Tadwi (25) on April 28, 2005.

Judge R K Bhawe delivered the verdict.
