VPT creates unloading record from vessel

Visakhapatnam, Dec 2 (UNI) The Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) has created an all time record by unloading of calcined metallurgical alumina today.

VPT, in a release here said a quantity of 4,719 tonnes of calcined metallurgical alumina was unloaded from the vessel m v Kang Haun at EQ-6 berth. Today's removal surpassed the previous best unloading of 4,128 tonnes on November 11 from vessel m v D S Freeway.

The cargo was imported by Bharat Aluminium Company Limited, Korba in Chattisgarh, the release added.
