Uttaranchal govt, IGNOU sign MOU on training for teachers

Dehra Dun, Dec 2 (UNI) The Uttaranchal Government and Indira Gandhi National Open University today signed a Memorandum of Understanding on conducting training programmes for teachers in the state.

State Chief Minister N D Tiwari said the training programme will apprise teachers about modern technology and teaching system through EDUSAT and added it will strengthen basic education.

In all 21,700 teachers of will undergo training.

State Education Secretary S K Maheshwari said the training programme will begin from the first week of January. The training would be held through distant education system using audio-visual aids.
