Undertrial dies in hospital

Jamshedpur, Dec 2 (UNI) An undertrial has died at MGM hospital here after he fell ill at Sakchi jail.

Police said the deceased Kanke Singh alias Aloo Singh, a resident of Tinplate Nanak Bustee under Golmuri police station area, was arrested on November 27 in an altercation case.

He was sent to the hospital in a critical condition and died after the admission, police said yesterday.

Doctors, however, said the undertrial had died before he was brought to the hospital.

A medical board was constituted, under the supervision of a Magistrate, to investigate the unnatural death of the deceased, police said adding that the post mortem would be done tomorrow after the medical board submits the reports.
