Two nationals of Myanmar killed in road accident

Allahabad, Dec 2 (UNI) Two nationals of Myanmar, on a visit to the Buddhist places in India, were killed in a road accident near Methiapur village here today.

According to police, nationals of Myanmar Ming Jong and Kando Jolin along with others had gone to Kaushambi district in a mini bus from Varanasi. While returning after having visited the Sanghkesa Pilgrims Centre, their mini bus collided head on with a truck near Methiapur village. Both the nationals of Myanmar and others, including the bus driver and khalasi received injuries.

They were first admitted to a local hospital but when the condition of the two nationals, driver and conductor deteriorated, they were brought to S R N Hospital in the city where Jong and Jolin succumbed to the injuries.

They had come from Varanasi and were heading towards Agra when the accident took place.

After being informed about the accident, senior district officials reached the hospital. Family members of both the victims were being informed.

The driver and conductor are residents of Gaya district in Bihar.
