Triple car bombing in Baghdad kills 4

BAGHDAD, Dec 2 (Reuters) Three car bombs killed at least four people and wounded 12 others when they exploded in quick succession in central Baghdad today, a police source said.

The explosions occurred in the Sadriya neighbourhood near the commercial heart of Baghdad. A witness said he saw many casualties and thick black smoke rising from the wreckage.

The police source said he expected the casualty toll to rise further.

Insurgents often carry out bomb attacks on civilian crowds as part of a wider sectarian conflict raging in the country.
