Training programme on RTI Act

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (UNI) Central Information Commissioner A N Tiwari today inaugurated a training programme on Right to Information Act (RTI), being organised by VIGNANA, a knowledge initiative by Vijay Foundation Trust and Asian Wildlife Foundation, as part of its education and awareness drive in the city.

Speaking on the occasion here, Mr Tiwari said the RTI Act would make India a better place for future generations and usher in a change in governance.

He highlighted the need to understand and follow the Act in its sense and spirit rather than just its words.

He emphasised that the future of the Act depends both on its fair use by the Indian citizens and fearless implementation by the civil servants.
