Three die in road mishap on Rajkot-Jamnagar highway

Ahmedabad, Dec 2 (UNI) Three people died on the spot in an accident on the Rajkot-Jamnagar highway near Jayva village, 35 km from here.

A couple travelling in a Maruti WagonR and the driver of the car died on the spot when a tanker collided head-on yesterday night.

Mahendrabhai Popatbhai Mamtora,50, and his wife Beenaben M Mamtora,44 and their driver Bhavani Singh Pratap Singh Chauhan,36, were killed. The couple were from the Satellite area of Ahmedabad and were on their way to Jamnagar when the mishap occurred.

The tanker driver however escaped from the scene.
