Special trains to clear rush to Sabarimala
Rajahmundry, Dec 2 (UNI) In order to clear extra rush of passengers especially pilgrims bound for Sabarimala, South Central Railway will run 13 special trains from Kakinada town and one from Vijayawada, according to Assistant Divisional Manager, K V V Satyanarayana.
Addressing presspersons here he said the special trains from Kakinada to Kayamkulam would be run on Mondays and Thursdays, and the special train from Vijayawada every Sunday, till january 15.
He said the eastern side of the Rajahmundry railway station, including a new booking office, would function from Apirl or May end.
Mr satyanarayana said he would take up the issue of extending the Kakinada-Manmad train service to four days in a week from twice a week at present with the authorities.
