Rahul's review of projects accelerates development projects
Sultanpur, Dec 2 (UNI) The pace of works in this district of Uttar Pradesh has gathered momentum follwing the review of developmental projects in the Amethi parliamentary constituency by local MP Rahul Gandhi.
On September 13, Mr Gandhi had chaired the Sultanpur district vigilance committee meeting, which has resulted in the completion of at least five projects since then.
Meanwhile, about 90 per cent work of other 62 projects has also been completed.
District Project Director and Vigilance Committee member Awdhesh Kumar Singh here today said under another project 'Sulabh Lavatories' are being constructed in about 4,800 schools.
Thousands of other such lavatories would be constructed in households to benefit an estimated 1.1 lakh population.
The local MP is giving special attention towards roads, housing, education and water projects in the district, Mr Singh informed.
Mr Gandhi will chair the 41-member district vigilance committee meeting tomorrow.
