Provide affordable dental care to poor: Shekhawat

Chandigarh, Dec 2 (UNI) Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today said affordable dental care should be provided to deprived sections of the society.

While inaugurating Dr HS Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital here, the Vice President said,''In India, 30 crore people still live below poverty line. With problems of malnutrition, illiteracy and lack of sanitation, we have to consider ways and means that provide affordable dental care to deprived sections of the society.'' He said, ''I am sure, this Dental Institute will consider adopting some villages to make dental care accessible to the poor section of society.'' He said with the addition of this Dental Institute, the long felt demand of the city has been fulfilled.
