Protest against negligent doctors; Bhaderwah observed bandh
Doda, Dec 2 (UNI) A 'dawn-to-dusk' strike was observed in the Bhaderwah town of this hilly district today while people staged a rally to protest against the deaths of two injured, allegedly due to negligence of health authorities.
All the educational institutions, offices and business establishments remained closed for the day.
According to sources, people were shouting slogans against the authorities of Sub-District Hospital Bhaderwah, following the death of two people, who were injured in a road accident yesterday.
''The injured died because they could not get proper treatment in the hospital... even syringes were being brought from outside...'' said a local, Imtyaz Bhat.
Besides health authorities, the protesters also raised slogans against the sitting MLA of Bhaderwah Assembly constituency and Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
