Prohibitory orders in place in Bijapur

Bijapur, Karnataka, Dec 2 (UNI) Bijapur district Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mohisin today issued prohibitory orders under section 144 of CrPC in the district as a preventive measure to maintain law and order and curb terrorist activities.

In a statement here, he said the ban order would be in place for two months. He urged the public to be cautious while dealing with unknown people and report to the nearest police station in case of suspicion against anyone.

The move followed a report submitted by the district Superintendent of Police, emphasising the need for a thorough checking of unknown persons and their activities in the light of the increased terrorist activities across the country.
