PM expresses sorrow over Bhagalpur train accident

New Delhi, Dec 2 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today expressed sorrow over the train accident near Bhagalpur in which at least 37 passengers were killed and about 55 injured.

Dr Singh was distressed to learn about the incident and expressed his condolences for the kith and kin of the victims, a PMO Spokesperson said here.

The accident occurred when a dilapidated portion of a road overbridge collapsed on a running Express train near the Bhagalpur railway station in Jamalpur-Sahibganj section under the Maldah division of Eastern Railway this morning.
