Parthiv injured index finger

Mohali, Dec 2 (UNI) Former India wicketkeeper Partiv Patel injured his right hand index finger while collecting a Ashraf Makda ball on the second morning of the Gujarat-Punjab Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match at the PCA Stadium here today.

This happened in the fifth ball of the 20th over bowled by Makda to Ravneet Rickey (batting 142) from the Far End. Parthiv Patel was rushed to PGI in Chandigarh. The Gujarat wicketkeeper-cum-batsman has been ruled out for the remaining part of the ongoing four-day match.
