Pappu Yadav seeks his shifting in Patna

Patna, Dec 2 (UNI) RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav, presently lodged in Tihar Jail, New Delhi, in connction with the murder case of CPI(M) MLA Ajit Sarkar, today prayed before local court for his shifting to a jail in Patna.

Through a petition before additional district and sessions judge of Patna B M Srivastav, counsel of Mr Yadav prayed that RJD MP should be shifted to Patna as he had to produce defence witnesses in the case.

The prayer was opposed by the CBI.

After hearing both sides, the judge reserved his order till December four.

Mr Yadav was currently lodged in Tihar jail on the directive of apex court in connection with the case.
