Mysore, Dec 2 (UNI) Janata Dal (Secular) Parliamentary Party leader Veerendra Kumar today said the party's National Executive will meet in Thiruvananthapuram by the month-end to ''ratify the expulsion'' of party president H D Deve Gowda from the party.

Addressing mediapersons here, he said Mr Gowda had been expelled from the party for violating the party constitution by joining hands with the BJP to form government in Karnataka. All the National Executive members would attend the Thiruvananthapuram meeting, including party State Presidents, to ratify the expulsion.

Mr Kumar said the JD(S) had formed the government with the Congress in Karnataka after the 2004 Assembly polls as per a decision of the National Executive, which also decided to keep away from communal forces.

To a question, he said if Mr Gowda claimed that he had the support of 70 executive members out of 75, let him call a meeting.

The National Executive Committee had been opposing the JD(S)-BJP Government right from day one.

He accused Mr Gowda of ensuring that his family members got all the benefits and power and betraying everyone who worked for the party.
