High-voltage election campaign ends in Bobbili, Karimnagar

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (UNI) An intensive and high profile campaigning for the bypoll to Karimnagar and Bobbili Lok Sabha seats, scheduled on December 4 came to an end this evening.

In Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency, 14.50 lakh voters, will cast their votes and in Bobbili over 10.14 lakh voters, including 5.21 lakh women would exercise their franchise.

Congress candidate Jeevan Reddy, the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate Ramana, Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) President and former Union Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao and BJP candidate Ch Vidyasagar Rao are in fray for the byelection in Karimnagar.

Ministers and Party MLAs of the respective constituencies took an active part in the election campaign.

The TRS MLAs, MPs and state leaders participated in the poll campaigns along with the TRS Chief Chandrasekhara Rao.

The BJP leaders also actively participated in the campaign, raising the separate Telangana issue.

The arrival of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhra Reddy and TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu for election campaign unleashed an extra vibrant atmosphere in the constituency.
