Fire-hit hydrotreater unit restarts at Reliance's Jamnagar refinery
Mumbai, Dec 2 (UNI) Reliance Industries (RIL) today announced re-start of the second unit of the hydrotreater plant at its refinery in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
Partially damaged in the October 25 fire, the company said the unit, which had to be shut down, has been refurbished in a record time of 35 days and has started functioning normally today.
The refinery had been working without any loss of production after the incident, an RIL statement said.
Appreciating it, company's CMD Mukesh Ambani said '' I compliment the Reliance team at Jamnagar refinery for once again demonstrating exemplary performance by restarting the VGO hydrotreater II unit in such a short time and for ensuring normal operations at the refinery, including continued supply of LPG,in an uninterrupted manner through the period of the shut down.''
