EC censures Chhattisgarh Minister for violating model code

New Delhi, Dec 2 (UNI) The Election Commission has censured Chhattisgarh Health Minister Krishnamurthy Bandhi for violating the model code of conduct.

According to a Commision release here today, Mr Bandhi held a meeting with officials at Masturi Panchayat in Bilaspur district on November 14, when the model code of conduct was applicable in the entire district.

The Commission issued him a show cause notice on November 24 and asked him to explain his position by November 27.

The Commission, after receiving his written reply, held a meeting and found him guilty of violating the model code of conduct, the release added.
