DMDK cadre on a day's fast on Mullaperiyar dam

Tiruchirapalli, Dec 2: About 1,000 volunteers of the Desiya Murpokku Dravidar Kazhagam (DMDK), including some women are observing a day's fast here today as part of their state-wide programme to condemn the 'betrayal' of Tamil Nadu in the Mullaperiyar dam issue.

DMDK state deputy secretary and former minister K P Krishnan led the fast.
