AP CM urges Centre to prepare 'national policy' for Muslims
Hyderabad, Dec 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today urged the Centre to evolve a 'national policy' with multi-faceted strategies to improve the living conditions of Muslims in the country.
Reacting to observations in the Sachar Committee report, Dr Reddy said the Centre should initiate urgent policy initiatives to improve matters with regard to progress and prosperity of the country's Muslims.
According to a press release here, the Chief Minister said the State Government was committed to ameliorate the living conditions of all sections of minorities and reiterated that the Government was committed to provide five per cent reservations for the Muslims in employment and education.
