13 securitymen killed in landmine blasts in Jharkhand
Bokaro, Dec 2 (UNI) At least 13 security personnel were killed when Maoists triggered landmines near the Bokaro Thermal police station in this naxalite-dominated district of Jharkhand today, the police said.
However, unofficial reports put the figure at 17.
The police said Special Task Force personnel were carrying out random raids in the area, five km from the police station, when landmines exploded, killing several securitymen on the spot.
Senior police officials have rushed to spot to take stock of the situation.
A massive search is on.
