World AIDS Day observed in Tripura

Agartala, Dec 1 (UNI) The CRPF observed World AIDS Day by organising seminars and various other programmes.

The CRPF group centre, Salbagan, in coordination with Francois Xavier Bagnoud India Society, has observed the AIDS Day. Additional DIGP of the group centre R S Mehra inaugurated the function, in which about 400 officers and CRPF jawans, deployed in the state were present.

V K Chakraborty, ADIG (Admins.) Tripura sector, Gajraj Singh, Commandant 86 Battalion, P S Ghosh, Assistant Commandant among others also attended the seminar cum awareness programme and discussed various issues on HIV and AIDS.

The CRPF Wives Welfare Association also participated in the programme.

State government also chalked out programme on the World AIDS day.
